SIRT1은 히스톤 탈아세틸화를 통해 크로마틴 기능을 조절하고, 히스톤 및 DNA의 메틸화 변화를 유도하여 전사 억제를 촉진할 수 있습니다.
또한, 골격근 세포 분화에 필수적이며, 영양 결핍 상태에서 AMPK 및 NAMPT 경로를 통해 근육세포 분화를 억제하는 역할을 수행합니다.
