This antibody detects endogenous levels of the activated Notch2 fragment resulting from cleavage adjacent to Ala1734.
Target Information
Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 2 (NOTCH2) is a highly conserved protein in the Notch signaling pathway. It is a type I transmembrane receptor with multiple EGF-like repeats in the extracellular domain and several intracellular domain types. NOTCH2 interacts with ligands such as Jagged1, Jagged2, and Delta1 to regulate cell fate determination. Mutations in NOTCH2 cause Alagille syndrome type 2 (ALGS2), an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by hepatic bile duct paucity, cholestasis, and multisystem involvement including cardiac, skeletal, and ophthalmologic abnormalities.
