Target Information
Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, required to maintain transcriptionally repressive states of many genes (including Hox genes) throughout development.
PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and histone modification; mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A at Lys-119, altering chromatin expressibility heritably.
