The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
G protein-coupled receptors (GPRs), also known as seven transmembrane receptors, form a superfamily of proteins involved in various stimulus-response pathways. They mediate cell communication by translating extracellular signals into intracellular G protein activation.
GPR20 is a 358 amino acid membrane protein that constitutively activates G(i) proteins without ligand stimulation and may regulate intracellular cAMP levels and mitogenic signaling. It is expressed in liver and specific brain regions (putamen, caudate, thalamus), but not in hypothalamus, pons, or frontal cortex.
