Target Information
RAG2 (V(D)J recombination-activating protein 2)는 RAG 복합체의 핵심 구성 요소로, V(D)J 재조합 과정 중 DNA 절단 단계를 매개합니다. 이 복합체는 B 및 T 림프구에서 다양한 면역글로불린 및 T세포 수용체 유전자 레퍼토리를 형성하기 위해 V(Variable), D(Diversity), J(Joining) 유전자 세그먼트를 재배열합니다.
DNA 절단은 두 단계로 진행되며, RAG 복합체는 한쪽 가닥에 nick을 형성하여 반대쪽 가닥의 인산다이에스터 결합을 공격함으로써 4개의 DNA 말단을 생성합니다.
RAG2는 촉매 성분은 아니지만 RAG1이 매개하는 모든 촉매 활성에 필수적입니다.
유전자 돌연변이는 면역 결핍, Omenn 증후군 등 다양한 면역 관련 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
