PLK4 (Polo-like kinase 4)는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제 계열에 속하며, 중심체 내의 중심소체(centriole)에 위치하여 세포 주기 동안 중심소체 복제를 조절합니다. PLK4의 과발현은 중심소체 증폭을 유도하며, 반대로 PLK4 유전자 발현 감소는 유사분열 오류 및 암 발생 확률을 증가시킵니다.
