Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody specifically recognizes Human Interleukin-32 (IL-32).

Target Information

Interleukin-32 (IL-32) was initially identified as a transcript (NK4) expressed in lymphocytes and NK cells, with expression increased following IL-2 activation. It was later re-isolated from an IL-18-treated lung carcinoma cell line and renamed IL-32.

IL-32 does not share sequence homology with known cytokine families and exists in multiple isoforms highly expressed in immune tissues. Treatment of human monocytic and mouse macrophage cells with IL-32 induces proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-8, and MIP-2. IL-32 expression is also induced in human lymphocytes after mitogen stimulation and in epithelial cells by IFN-γ, suggesting a role in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
