Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)는 L-아르기닌을 요소와 L-오르니틴으로 전환시키는 35 kDa 효소로, 요소 회로의 마지막 단계를 담당합니다. 생성된 폴리아민은 세포 증식 및 단백질 분해로 인한 독소 제거에 중요합니다. Arginase 1은 NO synthase의 기질을 감소시켜 nitric oxide 생성을 억제합니다. 인간과 생쥐 모두에서 간, 호중구, 골수유래 억제세포(MDSC), 신경줄기세포 등에서 발현됩니다. 특히 대체적으로 활성화된 대식세포(M2a)의 표지자로 알려져 있으며, 간세포암 등 다양한 종양 침윤성 골수세포에서 발현될 수 있습니다. Arginase 1의 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 argininemia의 원인이 됩니다.
