This product is preservative-free. To prevent contamination, it is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, followed by screening to select optimal clones.

This antibody specifically recognizes Human DNase1/Deoxyribonuclease I/DNL1.


Target Information

Internucleosomal DNA fragmentation is a hallmark of apoptosis, mediated by endonucleases such as DNase I. DNase I is a Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺-dependent endonuclease expressed in mammalian tissues, responsible for DNA degradation during apoptosis. It is highly polymorphic, with at least six known alleles.

DNase II, another deoxyribonuclease, acts downstream of caspase activation and contributes to DNA digestion during apoptosis. DNase I cleaves DNA to produce 5′-phosphodinucleotide and 5′-phosphooligonucleotide end-products, whereas DNase II produces 3′-phosphomononucleotide and 3′-phosphooligonucleotide end-products.

DNase II is typically found in the cytoplasm of epithelial cells and concentrated in nuclei of lens fibers, while DNase I is concentrated in nuclei of epithelial and fiber cells.
