Target Information
The chaperonin containing TCP1 (CCT) complex, also known as the TCP1 ring complex, consists of two back-to-back rings, each with eight unique but homologous subunits, including CCT4.
CCT facilitates the folding of newly translated polypeptides through ATP-driven cycles of release and rebinding of intermediate forms.
Substrates of CCT include cytoskeletal proteins such as actin and tubulin, as well as alpha-transducin.
