It is used to establish the pure dye spectra and multicomponent values for TAMRA, NED, and Cy5 dyes. The formulations of the dyes in Plate 2 help improve results with multiplexing by more accurately representing the fluorescent spectra of the respective probes found in real-time PCR experiments.
