Target Information

RPS6KA3 (RSK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that modulates many cellular processes including transcription, adhesion, growth, survival, and proliferation. It contains two non-identical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the MAPK signaling pathway. The activity of this protein is implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Mutations in the gene have been associated with Coffin-Lowry syndrome (CLS).
