Target Information
WNT8A is part of the WNT gene family, which encodes secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Expression studies in the NT2 teratocarcinoma cell line suggest involvement in early neuronal differentiation induced by retinoic acid. WNT8A is clustered with WNT3 in the chromosome 17q21 region.
