Target Information
RBP4는 리포칼린(lipocalin) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 혈액 내에서 비타민 A(레티놀)의 운반체 역할을 합니다. 간에서 저장된 레티놀을 말초 조직으로 전달하며, 혈장 내에서 transthyretin과 복합체를 형성하여 신장 여과를 통해 손실되는 것을 방지합니다. 비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 차단되어 표피 세포로의 비타민 A 전달이 저하됩니다.
