- Aliquots of 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes are not recommended; use original packaging until exhausted.
- For larger sizes, prepare aliquots to reduce freeze/thaw cycles (not below 20 µL).

Target Information
The TEK receptor tyrosine kinase (also known as TIE2) is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells. TEK signaling is essential for endothelial cell–smooth muscle cell communication during venous morphogenesis, and mutations in TEK are linked to inherited venous malformations.
Angiopoietin-1 binds to TEK and activates a pathway crucial for embryonic vascular development. TIE2 expression increases with thyroid-stimulating hormone and agents that elevate intracellular cAMP.
Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) expressing TIE2 are quiescent, antiapoptotic, and form a side population adhering to osteoblasts in the bone marrow niche.
