Target Information
ICAM-2는 intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) 패밀리에 속하는 type I 막단백질로, 2–9개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type 도메인을 포함하며 LFA-1 단백질과 결합합니다.
ICAM-2는 LFA-1 의존적 세포 부착을 차단하여 림프구 재순환에 관여할 수 있으며, 항원 특이적 면역반응, NK 세포 매개 제거, 림프구 순환 및 면역 감시와 같은 세포 간 상호작용에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 유전자는 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이체를 가질 수 있으며, ICAM2 관련 질환으로는 Colon Carcinoma In Situ가 보고되어 있습니다.
