Target Information
Glutamine synthetase (GS)는 글루타민 합성효소 패밀리에 속하며, 동물에서 암모니아의 동화는 glutamate dehydrogenase와 GS의 작용을 통해 이루어집니다. Glutamate는 질소 흐름의 중심 역할을 하며, 신경전달물질 대사 조절에도 중요한 역할을 합니다. GS의 활성은 아데닐화(adenylylation)에 의해 조절되며, Alzheimer’s disease로 영향을 받은 뇌의 대뇌피질에서 감소하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 포도당 결핍 조건에서도 감소합니다.
