Target Information
Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) catalyze hydrolysis of cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP to corresponding nucleoside 5′-monophosphates. Mammalian PDEs are classified into several families based on biochemical properties. Members of the PDE1 family, such as PDE1C, are calmodulin-dependent PDEs (CaM-PDEs) stimulated by calcium-calmodulin complex (Repaske et al., 1992).
