K-RAS (GTPase KRas)는 Ras oncogene family에 속하며, GDP/GTP 결합 및 고유 GTPase 활성을 가집니다. 세포 증식 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, 대장암 세포에서 ZNF304 의존적 종양 억제 유전자 전사 억제를 유도하여 암 발생에 기여할 수 있습니다.
K-RAS 유전자 변이는 급성 골수성 백혈병, 소아 골수모구성 백혈병, Noonan 증후군, 위암, Cardiofaciocutaneous Syndrome 2 등과 관련이 있습니다.
