Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The CDKN2A gene produces multiple transcript variants with distinct first exons.
At least three alternatively spliced variants encode different proteins, two of which inhibit CDK4 kinase.
Another variant encodes an alternative open reading frame (ARF) product that stabilizes the tumor suppressor protein p53 by interacting with and sequestering MDM2, an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase responsible for p53 degradation.
Despite structural and functional differences, both CDK inhibitor isoforms and the ARF product share roles in cell cycle G1 control.
Mutations or deletions in this gene are common in various tumors, highlighting its importance as a tumor suppressor gene.
