Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene is a member of the equilibrative nucleoside transporter family. It encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein localized to plasma and mitochondrial membranes, mediating cellular uptake of nucleosides. ENT1 is sensitive to inhibition by nitrobenzylthioinosine and plays a key role in nucleotide synthesis and uptake of cytotoxic nucleosides used in cancer and antiviral therapies. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
