Target Information
TET3는 ten-eleven-translocation (TET) 유전자 패밀리에 속하는 methylcytosine dioxygenase로, methylcytosine을 5-hydroxymethylcytosine으로 전환하는 효소입니다. 주로 조혈세포에서 발현되며, TET2와 달리 TET3의 돌연변이는 골수계 악성종양에서 보고되지 않았습니다.
TET3는 수정란의 첫 유사분열 전 DNA 탈메틸화에 관여하며, 수정 후 부계 DNA의 후성유전학적 재프로그래밍에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 동물 복제 과정 중 체세포 핵 재프로그래밍에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
