Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene contains RNA recognition motifs found in various RNA binding proteins, including hnRNPs and snRNP components. It plays a role in regulating alternative splicing. The rat homolog binds RNA homopolymers with a preference for G and U polyribonucleotides. This gene is located on chromosome Xp11.23, near UBE1, and has two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
