Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of VEGFR1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr1242.
Target Information
FLT1 (VEGFR1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in angiogenesis. Active angiogenesis is important in both pathological and physiological processes such as tumor progression, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and wound healing.
It may act as a negative regulator of embryonic angiogenesis by inhibiting excessive endothelial cell proliferation and can promote endothelial cell proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis in adulthood.
FLT1 has very high affinity for VEGFA and relatively low kinase activity, possibly functioning as a negative regulator of VEGFA signaling by limiting free VEGFA binding to KDR.
