Stargazin은 transmembrane AMPAR regulatory proteins (TARP) family에 속하며, glutamate receptor trafficking에 관여합니다. Stargazin과 AMPA receptor 간의 상호작용은 시냅스에서 수용체의 정확한 위치 결정에 중요합니다. 또한, Protein Kinase A에 의한 Thr 321 위치의 인산화는 PSD-95와의 상호작용 및 AMPA receptor의 시냅스 타깃팅을 조절합니다.
