Target Information
Nucleolin (NCL) is a eukaryotic nucleolar phosphoprotein involved in the synthesis and maturation of ribosomes. It is mainly located in the dense fibrillar regions of the nucleolus.
The human NCL gene consists of 14 exons and 13 introns, spanning approximately 11 kb. Intron 11 encodes a small nucleolar RNA termed U20.
