Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Members of the myogenic determination family are basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins that can be separated into two classes, both of which work together to activate DNA transcription.
Class A proteins include the ubiquitously expressed E-box binding factors such as E2A, ITF-2, and HEB.
Class B proteins, including MyoD, myogenin, and NeuroD (BETA2), are transiently expressed and exhibit limited tissue distribution.
NeuroD2 (neurogenic differentiation 2), also known as NDRF, NEUROD2, or bHLHa1, is a 382 amino acid nuclear protein containing one bHLH domain. It functions to induce neurogenic differentiation and plays a key role in the maintenance and determination of cell fate.
