Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
OTX2 is a 289-amino-acid protein belonging to the bicoid sub-family of homeodomain transcription factors. It has two known splice variants and may have additional isoforms.
OTX2 acts as an early marker of endodermal differentiation in embryonic stem cells and contributes to brain and sensory organ development.
It binds to the BCD target sequence (BTS): 5'-TCTAATCCC-3'.
Defects in OTX2 are associated with microphthalmia syndromic type 5 (MCOPS5).
