IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor, CD221)은 IGF-1 및 IGF-2에 의해 활성화되는 수용체 티로신 키나아제로, 다양한 암에서 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 단백질은 두 개의 알파 및 두 개의 베타 서브유닛으로 구성된 사량체 구조를 가지며, 알파 서브유닛은 IGF-1에 대해 높은 친화성을 보입니다. 결합 후 IGF-1R의 자가 인산화가 일어나며(positions 1134, 1135, 1136), 이어서 RAS, RAF, ERK, p38, JNK 등의 MAPK 경로가 활성화되어 세포 증식을 유도하는 유전자 전사를 촉진합니다.
