Target Information
SCRN3 is a member of the secernin family of proteins, including SCRN1, which was first identified as being involved in the regulation of exocytosis from peritoneal mast cells. Although little is known about SCRN3, studies have shown that SCRN1 may possess epitopes functioning as tumor-associated antigens in gastric cancers. Increased SCRN1 expression in colorectal cancer patients correlated with poor prognosis, suggesting that SCRN3 may also play a role in protein secretion or regulation of cell growth.
