Target Information
EDG7 (LPAR3) is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family and functions as a receptor for lysophosphatidic acid, mediating calcium mobilization. It couples predominantly to G(q/11) alpha proteins. EDG7 expression has been reported in human prostate, and in rodent brain, kidney, lung, placenta, prostate, and testis. ESTs have been isolated from normal prostate and cancer libraries of head/neck, ovary, and thyroid.
