Target Information
TCF-9 (transcription factor 9), also known as C2orf3, GCF, or DNABF, is a 781 amino acid nuclear protein belonging to the GCF family. Widely expressed, GCF binds GC-rich sequences of beta-Actin, EGFR, and CANP promoters. It contains multiple phosphoserine and phosphothreonine residues, and two isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. GCF is considered a candidate gene for dyslexia susceptibility (DYX3) due to its proximity on chromosome 2, which encodes over 1,400 genes and accounts for approximately 8% of the human genome.
