Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSP) are expressed in response to various biological stresses, including heat. HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress conditions and is also one of the most abundant cellular proteins under non-stress conditions. HSP90 interacts with intracellular proteins such as steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases. It is suggested that HSP90 maintains the structural integrity of steroid receptors, enabling ligand binding during receptor activation.
