This 37D12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human IL-37, a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family (also known as IL-1F7 or IL-1H4).
IL-37 suppresses innate inflammatory and immune responses and exhibits anti-inflammatory characteristics similar to IL-1R8.
It binds weakly to IL-18Rα and does not recruit IL-18β, thereby lacking pro-inflammatory signaling.
IL-37 interacts with IL-18 binding protein (IL-18BP), enhancing its antagonistic effects and forming a trimeric complex with IL-18BP and IL-18Rβ, which blocks IL-18 activity.
Transcripts of IL-37 have been detected in human tissues such as lung, testis, and colon tumors, as well as in several human cell lines.

Applications Reported:
This antibody has been reported for use in immunocytochemistry followed by cytospin.

Applications Tested:
Tested by immunocytochemistry of fixed and permeabilized normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
Recommended usage ≤ 20 µg/mL.
Careful titration is suggested for optimal performance.

It binds to interleukin 18 receptor (IL18R1/IL-1Rrp) and interleukin 18 binding protein (IL18BP), forming a complex with IL18 receptor beta subunit to inhibit IL18 activity.
This gene forms part of a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2, with five alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
