The Human Beta-catenin Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures Beta-catenin protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create customized multiplex panels using Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

기술 개요

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.

Luminex beads in the ProcartaPlex assay are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX). Each bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are identified with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in the ProcartaPlex assay is conjugated to a bead and not adsorbed to the microplate well, allowing free-floating reactions in solution. The Luminex instrument uses dual lasers—one to identify the bead type and another to quantify RPE fluorescence proportional to protein amount.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays enable profiling of more target proteins with significantly less sample volume and time compared to conventional ELISA.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, canine) and are widely used in oncology and biomarker research.
