Target Information
This gene encodes a protein that contains two immunoglobulin (Ig) domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Members of this family are typically membrane-associated and function as receptors in immune response pathways. IGSF21 is involved in synaptic inhibition in the brain and selectively regulates inhibitory presynaptic differentiation through interaction with presynaptic NRXN2.
