- At least two isoforms of TMIGD1 are known to exist; this antibody detects both isoforms.
Target Information
TMIGD1 (transmembrane and immunoglobulin domain containing 1) is a 262 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that contains two Ig-like C2-type domains. It is a nonsecreted, glycosylated protein located in the cytoplasm and cell membrane. TMIGD1 may serve as a cell differentiation marker in the intestine, with expression lost during cellular transformation, promoting tumorigenesis progression in the intestinal epithelium. It is also postulated to play a role in cell adhesion.
