Target Information
NEDD4L is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 conjugating enzyme to target substrates. It inhibits TGF-beta signaling by promoting SMAD2 and TGFR1 ubiquitination and degradation. NEDD4L also mediates ubiquitination and internalization of various plasma membrane channels such as ENaC, Nav1.2–Nav1.8, Kv1.3, EAAT1, and CLC5, and promotes degradation of SGK.
