Target Information

The RBMS3 gene encodes an RNA-binding protein belonging to the c-myc gene single-strand binding protein family.
These proteins contain conserved RNP1 and RNP2 motifs essential for DNA binding and are involved in:

• DNA replication
• Gene transcription
• Cell cycle progression
• Apoptosis

RBMS3 primarily localizes in the cytoplasm, suggesting a role in RNA metabolism regulation rather than transcription.
Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
