Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

In the intact cell, DNA closely associates with histones and other nuclear proteins to form chromatin. Chromatin remodeling is essential for transcriptional regulation, with histone acetylation playing a major role. Acetylation of lysine residues in histone tails induces conformational changes that enhance DNA accessibility to transcription factors.
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) reverse this process, leading to transcriptional silencing. HDAC9 and HDAC9a are alternatively spliced isoforms, both retaining deacetylase activity and repressing myocyte enhancer-binding factor 2-mediated transcription. These isoforms are expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and pancreas.
