PPIL1은 peptidylprolyl isomerases (PPIases) 사이클로필린 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 단백질 접힘 과정과 cyclosporin A에 의한 면역억제, HIV-1 감염 과정에 관여합니다. 다른 PPIase와의 유사성에 기반하여, 이 단백질은 단백질 접힘을 촉진하고 proline imidic peptide 결합의 cis-trans 이성화 반응을 촉매할 수 있습니다.
