Product Specific Information
- Product #31830 has been successfully used in Western blot, IF, ICC, IHC, IP, and FACS applications.
- Reacts with heavy chains of rat IgG and light chains common to most rat immunoglobulins.
- Does not react with non-immunoglobulin serum proteins, but may cross-react with other species’ immunoglobulins.
- Store at 4°C until opened. For long-term storage, add equal volume of glycerol (final 50%) and store at -20°C.
- Reconstitute with 2.0 mL of distilled water.
Target Information
Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified reagents specific for rat immunoglobulins. They are used for detection, sorting, or purification of rat IgG and enable flexible detection systems such as HRP, AP, or fluorescence. These antibodies enhance sensitivity through signal amplification and are typically generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled rat immunoglobulins, followed by purification and optional label conjugation.
