Target Information
DUSP26 encodes a member of the tyrosine phosphatase family with dual specificity for tyrosine, serine, and threonine residues. It functions variably as a tumor suppressor or oncogene depending on cellular context and may regulate neuronal proliferation. DUSP26 is implicated in glioblastoma progression through dephosphorylation of the p53 tumor suppressor. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
