Product Specific Information

Description:
This monoclonal mouse IgG2a kappa antibody is used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 496 (BUV496) is a tandem dye that emits at 496 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Ensure the instrument can detect this fluorochrome.

Staining Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use one of the following buffers to minimize non-specific interactions:

  • Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42)
  • Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75)

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vials and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in:

  • IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49)
  • 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54)
    for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.
