Description:
The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is an isotype control immunoglobulin useful for evaluating non-specific binding in flow cytometry assays.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.
Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 775 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Isotype control antibodies help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal by lacking relevant antigen specificity. They are primarily used in flow cytometry but also applicable to ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody and, when using directly labeled antibodies, should carry the same fluorophore for accurate comparison.
