Target Information
Sorbitol dehydrogenase (SORD)는 polyol과 해당 ketose 간의 상호전환을 촉매하며, aldose reductase와 함께 glucose를 sorbitol로 환원시키는 과정에서 작용합니다. ALDR1은 NADPH를 보조인자로 사용하며, SORD는 NAD를 이용해 sorbitol을 fructose로 산화시킵니다.
