Target Information
The M glycoprotein is the most abundant envelope protein of SARS-CoV-2. In silico analyses of the M protein using Protter demonstrated that it has a triple-helix bundle and forms a single 3-transmembrane domain. It has been reported that the SARS-CoV-2 membrane glycoprotein M may function as a negative regulator of the innate immune response by interacting with the central adaptor protein MAVS in innate immune response pathways.
