Product Specific Information

This 9E2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD335 (NKp46), a member of the natural cytotoxicity receptor family (including NKp30 and NKp44). CD335 is expressed on NK cells and plays a role in activating and expanding resting NK cells through interaction with dendritic cells, enabling the elimination of tumor and virus-infected cells such as influenza-infected targets. It also interacts with pancreatic beta cells, implicated in type I diabetes development.

The 9E2 antibody has been reported to induce cytotoxicity.

Target Information

NKp46 (CD335, NCR1) is a cytotoxicity-activating receptor contributing to the enhanced efficiency of activated natural killer (NK) cells in mediating tumor cell lysis. NKp46 consists of two Ig-like domains assembled similarly to leukocyte immunoglobulin-like (LIR) and killer inhibitory receptors (KIR).
