Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach approximately 1 mg/mL antibody concentration.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PRMT2 (Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 2) is an arginine methyltransferase that methylates the guanidino nitrogens of arginyl residues in proteins such as STAT3, FBL, and histone H4.
Acts as a coactivator with NCOA2 for androgen receptor (AR)-mediated transactivation and with estrogen for estrogen receptor (ER)-mediated transactivation.
Enhances PGR, PPARG, and RARA-mediated transactivation. May inhibit NF-kappa-B transcription and promote apoptosis. Represses E2F1 transcriptional activity in an RB1-dependent manner and may be involved in growth regulation. [UniProt]
