Cyclophilin F는 peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) 계열 단백질로, 단백질 접힘을 촉진하는 proline imidic peptide 결합의 cis-trans 이성질화 반응을 촉매합니다.
이 단백질은 미토콘드리아 내막의 permeability transition pore의 구성요소로, 세포자멸사(apoptosis) 및 괴사(necrosis) 유도에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
